The training program is a 3-6 months course. The trainee learns basics sewing skills and how to use equipment relating to the craft. The curriculum has two levels that each end with an examination and a diploma.
As Threads of Hope believes in a holistic approach, with the whole person in focus, the training program also includes other life skills and support, such as general job skills, language and literacy classes etc, depending on the person’s needs.
The Threads of Hope Care Group offers regular support, mentoring and individual meetings with a professional councillor if requested.
During the training program we are able to offer childcare in order to create the best conditions for the mothers to learn. We are privileged to have professional early childhood educators to head up this service.
