Giving Thanks and Giving Generously

The holiday season is here. In just a few days, many of us will be sitting down to a delicious meal and giving thanks for all we have been given. We’ll express our gratitude for our many blessings, with the abundance on the table before us as proof. For followers of Christ, thanksgiving is a major aspect of our relationship with God, and it’s something that permeates our prayer lives and our actions throughout the year.

The holiday of Thanksgiving allows all of us a chance to demonstrate our thanks in a big way, but unfortunately, the spirit of gratitude is often swallowed up by the commercialism created by Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. In our rush for good deals, it’s easy to forget the reason for the Thanksgiving holiday. It’s also easy to forget about those in need.

That’s why Giving Tuesday was created. In the last few years, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving has become a day for a large variety of nonprofits to raise awareness for their causes together. This year, Giving Tuesday will be December 3rd. This gives all of us a perfect opportunity to show our thanks for all we have by giving to those who are less fortunate.

We at Threads of Hope want to join with many other organizations in encouraging you to give. Here’s how you can be a part of Giving Tuesday and restore hope to women trapped in exploitation:

· Visit our Giving page to give directly to our training program. This program equips women with the skills to escape exploitation

· Visit our Shop page and buy a bag, a cushion, a kitchen item, or all of the above! All of these make fantastic Christmas gifts. We’re also selling beautiful ornamental hearts (seen above) as a Christmas special!

We will be offering free delivery from November 29th to December 2nd to encourage your generosity in this holiday season. We’re so excited to partner with you in providing hope!
